About Heat Pumps
What minimum level of insulation do I require for a heat pump to work efficiently?
You do not need a specific level of insulation in order to take advantage of the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) grant.
We strongly recommend making sure your home has double glazing before upgrading to a heat pump. Upgrading windows after might mean your heat pump is oversized, which can increase your running costs. Many properties cannot have these measures yet still experience extremely efficient systems thanks to the knowledge, skills, and award-winning training of our Heat Geeks. We often feature these on our YouTube channel.
