What does a design consultation involve and how long will it take?

A design consultation involves a Heat Geek visiting your home to assess your property and requirements. The consultation typically takes around 2 hours.

During the consultation, your Heat Geek will:

- Perform a room-by-room heat loss assessment to determine the heat loss in each room of your home and calculate the current radiator power outputs.

- Conduct a full electrical survey and advise on any upgrades that may be required.

- Survey the incoming water system to assess suitability for an unvented hot water cylinder.

- Provide an augmented reality view of the heat pump so that you can see how it will look once it is installed.

- Carry out an MCS 020 noise assessment to check that the proposed installation position of the heat pump will not be a nuisance to your neighbours.

- Discuss your requirements and find the best solution for your home and budget considering your desired system efficiency and payback time.

- Answer any questions you may have about heat pumps or your home decarbonisation journey.

All of our systems are remotely monitored, so we can easily tell if a system is not performing as we think it should. This is also backed up with our unique Heat Geek Performance Guarantee, which is our promise that our systems will perform as we say they will, to give you even more peace of mind.
