About Heat Pumps
How much space do I need for a cylinder/what are the basic requirements for getting a heat pump in my home?
Typically you need a minimum area inside your home 800mm x 800mm x 2100mm to house your hot water cylinder and the associated pipework. We do have some space saving solutions which only need a space 500mm W x 500mm D x 870mm H, but these will take an efficiency hit.
The heat pumps we install are typically 1.1m wide and 0.45m deep and the heat pump will need to be at least 1 metre from any openings in the buildings like doors, vents or openable windows. We aim to add further heat pump ranges over time which will vary in sizes and clearances.
