About Heat Pumps
Can I have a system with micro-bore pipework (anything where the pipes to your radiators are 10mm or less)?
Absolutely! Micro-bore pipework is any pipework smaller than the standard 15mm, typically 12, 10, 8, or 6mm.
If your home has this pipework, particularly on the smaller end, your system may require a buffer, which will have a very small impact on overall efficiency. Your Heat Geek can discuss this with you during the Design Consultation, but this must be determined on a case-by-case basis.
For those who want to find out for themselves, please see our article and video.
